1 Paste a recipe link, or the recipe itself

A link from most recipe sites, TikTok or YouTube works. If a site blocks us, copy the ingredients and steps and paste those instead.

2 What do you need it to be?

What this actually does

Every recipe site gives you one version of a dish

You are the one who has to work out what to do about the soy sauce, the butter, or the fact that it makes six portions and you want one. That is the part this does.

It knows where things hide

Gluten is not only in flour. It is in soy sauce, malt vinegar, most miso, panko, couscous and stock cubes. Dairy is not only milk. It is butter, ghee, whey, casein and most cream of anything soups. A gluten free adaptation that leaves the soy sauce in is worse than no adaptation at all, so every result is checked against the ingredient list before you see it, and a result that still contains what you asked to remove is thrown away rather than shown to you.

It tells you what it changed

You get a short list in plain words: swapped this for that, and why. No guessing at what moved.

Smaller portions means a smaller plate

Not half the batch. It cuts the bulky filler and keeps the protein where it was, so you eat less food and not less of the good part.

It does not keep anything

Nothing you paste here is stored, and there is no account to make. If you want to keep the adapted version, cook from it, and build a cookbook out of it, that is what the app is for.

Makmak is not a medical tool. It adapts recipes based on food, and it cannot certify that a dish is safe for an allergy. If an ingredient matters for your health, read the label on the packet.
